Younger – a retro mid 20th century circa 1960s teak wood extending dining table with chairs.

The table having a rectangular extending top with fitted frieze below. Raised on turned tapering supports. Together with a set of six tapered rail back dining chairs, to include two carver chairs.

John Herbert was one of the most talented British Mid-Century furniture designers of the Mid-Century period. He was A .Younger’s chief designer for around 20 years until the time of his death. A Younger Ltd was a high quality British furniture manufacturer that led style and contemporary taste in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Younger furniture was low volume, well made and aimed at the top end of the market. Their furniture was sold in Heals. Younger were among the first firms to make Scandinavian style furniture in the fifties

Condition report:

Great vintage condition. The chairs have been historically reupholstered and are in excellent sturdy condition. The Table has one small mark as picture. It is offered with in very good original condition.
